      The Regional Sales Manager (aka Licensing Manager) will be responsible for developing existing US accounts The Mid-Atlantic Licensing Manager will develop existing and prospective Academic accounts this geographic region.

      The successful candidate will proactively manage their territory with the support matrix of Account Developers, Sales Support, Marketing and Database Sales Managers, reporting to the Director. This role is within a results-driven team which supports experienced candidates with the tools to manage their territory through self-driven success alongside guidance and collaboration.

      Job Duties:

      • Drive sales growth by expanding the portfolio of customers, products and markets.
      • Foster long-standing customer relationships through a high level of interaction including site visits/conferences/presentations/telephone/email.
      • Produce sales/business reports and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
      • Collaborate with internal departments and staff to ensure customer satisfaction, sales growth, and the development of new sales channels.
      • Understand client needs and requirements to uncover additional opportunities for potential growth in organic revenue through deep understanding of the Research and Scientific publishing industries.
      • Serve as an industry expert; including communicating relevant industry trends and best practices to clients that ultimately create demand for Springer products.
      • Provide presentations that effectively communicate the value of Springer products.

      Job Requirements :

      • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of two (2) years prior experience preferred in sales and/or scholarly publishing.
      • Self-motivated and willing to continuously improve client relationship management through pursuit of customer-service excellence.
      • Understanding of the B2B Research publishing market
      • Ability to work on complex contract negotiations and proposal development.
      • Excellent presentation skills.
      • Personable and detail-oriented with strong communication (written and oral),
      • Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
      • Ability to travel as required

      Annualized Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and skill level.
